Luca is the owner and founder of Welly Dogs, with years of hands-on experience working with dogs in both group and training environments. His understanding of canine behaviour, pack management and training has been shaped through working with a wide range of dogs, alongside his experience and success in competitive obedience.

Luca founded Welly Dogs with the belief that daycare should be about more than simply giving dogs somewhere to spend the day. His approach centres around structure, enrichment, appropriate socialisation and understanding each dog as an individual, creating an environment where dogs can genuinely benefit from their time with the pack.

As Welly Dogs has grown, Luca has remained closely involved in developing the standards, handling practices and philosophy behind the business. His passion for dogs continues to drive Welly Dogs forward, with a focus on constantly improving the way we care for, understand and work with the dogs entrusted to us.

With Zyra & Evie

Zac plays a key role behind the scenes at Welly Dogs, taking the lead on much of the building, maintenance and ongoing development of our facilities. Highly practical, innovative and resourceful, he has a talent for finding solutions and turning ideas into functional, lasting improvements.

From fitting out our vans and building new spaces to maintaining and continually improving the property, Zac's work has played a significant part in developing Welly Dogs into what it is today. His years of experience as a dog handler also give him a valuable understanding of how spaces and equipment need to function safely and practically for both the dogs and our team.

Reliable, versatile and always willing to tackle the next project, Zac remains an important part of the continued growth and development of Welly Dogs.

With Bubba

Milly is the 2IC and team leader at Welly Dogs, playing a key role in the day-to-day running of the daycare and supporting both our dogs and our team. An experienced and confident handler, she has a strong understanding of canine behaviour, pack management and maintaining the calm, structured environment that Welly Dogs is known for.

One of Milly's greatest strengths is her ability to work with both dogs and people. Her approachable and easy-going nature makes her someone the team can turn to for guidance, while her confidence and experience allow her to make decisions and keep things running smoothly throughout the day. She plays an important role in supporting and developing our handlers and ensuring our standards remain consistent across the team.

Milly genuinely cares about the dogs she works with and has built strong relationships with many of them over her time at Welly Dogs. Her combination of handling ability, leadership and people skills has made her someone we trust enormously and an integral part of Welly Dogs.

With Archer

Rebecca is a highly valued member of the Welly Dogs team, bringing a thoughtful and attentive approach to her role alongside her background in veterinary nursing. She has a strong understanding of animal care and canine behaviour, with a keen eye for the small details that can make a big difference when caring for a large group of dogs.

Extremely observant and organised, Rebecca has an impressive ability to remember the finer details, notice when something isn't quite right and stay on top of what is happening across the day. Her attention to detail and genuine care for each individual dog make her someone we can consistently rely on.

Rebecca is also incredibly passionate about Welly Dogs and genuinely invested in the business and what we are trying to achieve. She takes pride in maintaining our standards and contributing wherever she can, making her a trusted and important part of the Welly Dogs team.

With JJ

Aimee has developed into one of Welly Dogs' most trusted and capable handlers. Exceptionally vigilant and always switched on, she has a great ability to read dogs, recognise subtle changes in behaviour and respond confidently to the different situations that arise within a pack environment. Her awareness, judgement and initiative make her someone we can place a great deal of trust in.

Aimee also stands out for her work ethic and team-first attitude. She is always willing to get stuck in, particularly when things are busy or there is extra work to be done. Whether she's working with the dogs, helping around the property, gardening or simply stepping in wherever she's needed, she gets on with the job and can consistently be relied upon.

As her experience and confidence have grown, Aimee has also begun taking more responsibility in helping newer staff develop their skills and understanding of the role. Her growth over her time at Welly Dogs has been significant, and she has become an important and highly valued member of the team.

With Tia

Ana brings plenty of positive energy and enthusiasm to the Welly Dogs team. A genuine dog lover and a bit of a ray of sunshine, she has a naturally caring and upbeat personality and is always happy to get stuck in. She loves spending her days surrounded by dogs, getting to know all their different personalities and continuing to grow her skills as a handler.

With Geo

Corie is a friendly and reliable member of the Welly Dogs team with a genuine love for dogs. She brings a calm and thoughtful approach to her work and enjoys getting to know each dog's individual personality. Always keen to learn and improve, Corie has quickly settled into the team and continues to build her knowledge and skills as a dog handler.
